Let me help you with your essay :) Hi, my name's Lei Ai (pronounced as lay-eye). Writing can be a daunting task, believe me I've been there! Using a counseling approach, I will help you get your thoughts organized and equip you with skills to be your own resource. By teaching you ways to strengthen your paper and by helping you find your personal style of writing, you will become confident in all your papers, not just this one time! I received a College of Reading and Learning Association Certification for completing 10 hours of training through writing workshops. As an Instructional Student Assistant (aka Writing Consultant) at the Writing Center in Cal State San Marcos, I provided one-on-one consultations with peer groups and grad students in a half-hour session, which included building rapport, a needs assessment, a 15-minute review of the paper, and last minute how-to's (wrap-up). I also facilitated writing sessions with GE students (undergraduate freshman) and counseled a diverse student body.
